• Requirements for the transfer of motor vehicle include:
• Certificate of title stamped on the reverse side.
• Valid Certificate of Fitness.
• Valid Insurance Certificate or Cover note.
• Valid ID (Passport, Driver's Licence or National ID).
• Taxpayer Registration Number (TRN).
• Completed application for Motor Vehicle transaction form (MVO1).
• Paying applicable fees.
• An authorization letter from the individual or company accompanied with a valid ID (Passport, Driver's Licence, or National ID) is required if a bearer is completing transaction. The letter must be stamped at the Stamp Office and registered at the Registrar General's Department (RGD).

If buying from a dealership

If buying from a private seller

• Prior to payment, ensure that the seller has properly transferred ownership. Request vehicle documentation for review.

• For high-value items, get an expert's feedback. For example, if you're buying a cell phone, plan to meet at a carrier store to have the phone verified as unlocked and in working order. For expensive antiques or jewelry, get a certified appraisal.

Connect with Seller

• To contact the seller, open up the ad that you are interested in and click on 'Show phone' button, and you will see available contact options.
• Use suggested contact channel to ask about items you like, or to make arrangements to buy and meet up. If the seller marked WhatsApp as a comfortable connection method, do not call.
• If you want a closer look at something before you offer, message the seller to ask them to add an additional photo to the listing. Let them know if there are particular details you'd like to see.

Negotiate prices

• If an item's price is negotiable, the seller's listed price can be considered a rough guideline.
• Be fair. If you have an idea of the item's value, don't make a lowball offer. The seller will be less likely to respond.
• If the seller has set a very low price for an item clearly worth more, offer a reasonable price.
• Be respectful and open to counter-offers.

Meet and pay

• We recommend meeting at a public location like a cafe or shopping mall. For high-value items, consider meeting at a police station, community security post or place you feel comfortable meeting at.
• If you are purchasing a large item, bring a friend to help lift.
• When you're on your way, inform the seller how long it should take you to get there. If you're running late, please let the seller know so nobody is kept waiting.
• Inspect the item in person when you meet. You have the option to politely decline to buy if it isn't what you want.
• Amber Eazzy does not recommend paying with gift cards, personal/certified checks, unknown systems or wire transfers such as Western Union or MoneyGram, as these payment methods can be riskier.
• Once money has been exchanged for an item, the sale is final. Resolve any questions or issues with the seller before you pay.
• You can ask the seller to write for you a short receipt to have a proof of ownership of the item.

Report problems

• If you find an item on Amber Eazzy that isn't allowed under our Posting rules, or a seller seems suspicious, tap 'Complain about the Ad' to report it so we can investigate.
• Describe your complaint in detail. Your complaint will be processed in 24 hours.
• Remember: if you ever find yourself in an emergency or feel that your personal safety is threatened, always contact local police and emergency services first.

• Someone sends you a link to a website that looks like an Amber Eazzy website and asks you to log in using your personal data. Never click on these links or try to log in.
• The person or the post tells you about an 'investment opportunity' or an 'easy way to make money' by sending money – avoid these types of interactions.
• Use cash for in-person transactions or NCB / Scotia transfers. Avoid people who request invoices, and offers that appear too good to be true.

Some common scam examples include:

• The seller asks to be paid by certified check, electronic gift card, or a wire payment through a service like Western Union or MoneyGram. They might also request payment through services like CashApp, Venmo, or PayPal. We recommend using cash for in-person transactions or NCB / Scotia transfers.
• The seller makes an offer for an item that seems too good to be true. For example, a seller willing to sell a new iPhone for $10.
• The buyer offers more than the listed price. They usually follow up by asking you to pay through a third party. They may also say the overpayment is for movers who will come and transport the item. Be wary of these types of transactions.
• Scammers may use fake emails like [email protected].

At Amber Eazzy, we want everyone to have an enjoyable buying and selling experience. Please report suspicious or offensive behavior and any items that violate our Posting rules. If you report someone, they will not know you reported them. When you report someone in the app, you're reporting them to Amber Eazzy. We might follow up with you if additional information is needed.

Reporting someone:

• Exhibited suspicious, illegal, offensive, or harassing behavior.
• Looks like a scam (Example: selling a fraudulent item).
• Paid fraudulently.
• Used an offensive profile image or sent offensive messages.
• Posted an item that violates our posting rules, such as a counterfeit or inappropriate item (e.g., a weapon).
• Failed to show up to buy or sell an item.

How to report someone:

• Go to the fraudulent ad.
• Tap 'Complain about the Ad' button.
• Choose a reason to report it so we can investigate.
